In 1937 when she was married she wrote in her diary, 'I resolve to a life not to be ashamed of. Not to let my thoughts and dreams rule my actions, to speak and act gentle and loving. To look at a thing from both sides before making a decision. To trust love and not take too much for granted. Speak kind and control my temper. Listen and hold my tongue. Be not jealous but expect your rights to be recognized.' She lived her entire 95 years by these words. The family wishes to express our gratitude to the staff at Virginia Beach Estates, especially to Carolyn Lipkin for all the wonderful care she received over the years. Even though Mother loved flowers the family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
