local agencies to offer free screening for hiv
Monday is National HIV Testing Day, and there will be several free testing opportunities available in Norfolk and Virginia Beach later this week and next week.
The Norfolk Department of Public Health will provide free tests for HIV on Friday and Monday, between 9 and 11 a.m. The tests will be given at the Norfolk Public Health Center Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic, 830 Southampton Ave. in Norfolk, and results will be available in 20 minutes.

In Virginia Beach, Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Virginia will provide free screening for HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis on June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Testing is courtesy of the Urban League and Virginia Beach Department of Health.
