PARENTS SIGN UP IN DROVES FOR FLU SHOTS AT NORFOLK SCHOOLS - US Fed News Service, Including US State News

NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 2 -- The city of Norfolk issued the following press release:

The Norfolk Health Department has teamed up again this year with Norfolk Public Schools to offer free flu shots through school nurses, and parents have responded enthusiastically.

As of Wednesday, February 2, when flu shots were due to be offered for the first time, 1,700 consent forms had been turned in to school nurses.

Parents who have not yet signed up but would like to have their students inoculated can visit the school division's Web site, www.npsk12.com, and click on the link for flu shots to find the forms and information sheets.
